GIMNAZIJA KRANJ, SLOVENIJA

Some facts about us:

Kranj is the capital of the Gorenjska and the fourth largest town in Slovenia. Old part of the town is like a peninsula above the Kokra and the Sava river. Kranj is a very important Slovenian trade centre. Kranj is also called the "City of Preseren" because Slovenia's greatest poet, Dr. France Preseren (1800-1849), lived, worked, and died here.


Gimnazija Kranj is a school attended by students aged between 15 and 18. It corresponds to an English grammar school and it prepares students for univesity study.Gimnazija Kranj is one of the oldest and largest secundary scools in Slovenia. It was established in the year 1810 by the French authorities.
